Knowit is starting a fundraiser for Ukraine through UNHCR

The situation in Ukraine leaves no one unmoved. We think about those caught up in the center of the crisis and want to show our support for the people and our partners and external colleagues in Ukraine. According to UNHCR, 1 million people have now fled the war and more people are expected to do so. UNHCR is leading and coordinating the work of providing these people with protection, shelter, and emergency aid. As one of their key partners, we choose to support their work further by starting a fundraiser, to which colleagues, clients, partners, and friends can also contribute. 

The fundraiser will be open throughout the month of March and during this period Akelius Foundation is supporting UNHCR by doubling all contributions made to UNHCR Sweden. From Knowit, we will make a first donation of SEK 500,000 (approximately EUR 47,500). 

“We see the deep involvement of all our colleagues, with a lot of different local initiatives to support Ukraine being established. With this fundraiser, we also want to create a possibility to jointly contribute to UNHCR and the Ukrainian citizens who are currently fleeing their country. We support the UN in their work for peaceful, fair, and inclusive societies,” says Per Wallentin, CEO of Knowit.
