Knowit Experience win international Design Award for typography project “Building Blocks”

The project Building Blocks was developed at the intersection of typography, architecture, and visual identity, inviting play, exploration, and experimentation. The typeface is built as a modular system and explores how visual principles can be materialized in fonts – both as static and dynamic expressions.

“It means a lot to be recognized in an international design community, especially in a competition with such a long history as ADC. With Building Blocks, we wanted to see how far we could push typography as a living expression – by programming animation directly into the typeface. It’s been both educational and incredibly fun,” says Torgeir Hjetland, Design Lead at Knowit Experience.

The ADC Annual Awards, established in 1921 by the Art Directors Club in New York, is one of the world’s oldest and most respected competitions in design, illustration, and creative communication.
