CGM J4 integrates e-signatures directly into the healthcare workflow

CompuGroup Medical (CGM) is a leading provider of digital healthcare solutions in Sweden and internationally. Its e-health system, CGM J4, is used daily by healthcare professionals across Sweden and plays a central role in digital healthcare workflows. As the need for e-signatures grew, CGM wanted to enhance the platform with a solution that could meet the operational needs of the organization as well as the healthcare sector’s stringent requirements for security, privacy, and regulatory compliance.

CGM needed an e-signature solution that could be integrated directly into its existing system workflows without compromising the user experience. Redirecting users to a separate signing process was not an option CGM wanted to consider. At the same time, the solution needed to fully address legal requirements, electronic identification, evidence management, and regulations governing healthcare and the public sector. Architectural and operational flexibility were essential, as was the ability to retain control over the interface and user journeys.

CGM selected Signport, Knowit’s e-signature service, as a white-label solution. Through a modular API, CGM was able to integrate e-signatures as a natural step in CGM J4’s existing workflows—one of its key procurement requirements. The solution was adapted to CGM’s architecture and deployed without disrupting the rest of its infrastructure. It can be operated both on-premises and in external environments with stringent security requirements.

With Signport, CGM retained full control over its user interface and workflows while gaining access to a complete signing service that manages identity, documents, logging, and legal evidence.
