In recent years, the company has intensified its focus on e-mobility, with a strong emphasis on expanding its network of electric vehicle charging stations. With Norway and the Nordics as its testing ground, Circle K is now rolling out an entirely new platform and new services that will make charging easier both at home and on the road.

How to remain relevant in an electric revolution
With EV sales increasing worldwide, more and more drivers will depend on being able to charge their cars quickly and easily on the road in the years ahead. As demand has grown rapidly, Circle K has faced the challenge of rolling out services to customers quickly enough while the business area itself was still being scaled up.
To streamline the launch and rollout of new services and a new platform, Knowit was selected as a partner to establish and run Circle K’s go-to-market program.
SOLUTION
Program management to ensure the strength of the initiative across geographies and partners
Our assignment was to establish a program function to coordinate collaboration between eMobility’s product development and service platform operations, and the local operations in Norway and Denmark. This included planning and executing the launch of the new platform and app in Denmark, as well as enabling a seamless transition to the new app and service for all existing charging customers in Norway. This included training, program management, and project management of the rollout projects in Denmark and Norway, improvements to the customer journey related to charging and payment, as well as coordination and support for all involved Group and Business Unit functions such as Sales & Marketing, Customer Support, Operations, and Finance.

RESULT
Organized for agile ways of working across teams
Together with key resources from the different functions within Circle K, we established and worked according to a program and governance structure adapted to a new agile way of working at Circle K.
Knowit has been very important in helping us realize our plans and ambitions to improve the user experience for EV customers across the Nordics. Their expertise and capacity enabled us to quickly and effectively scale our organization in the short term to meet immediate market needs, while also allowing us to focus together on building future-oriented processes for efficient scaling of our offering to EV drivers globally. We are very pleased with how the projects were carried out, and not least with how the collaboration worked between the Knowit team and our own resources at Circle K.
