PRESS RELEASE

Knowit acquires the strategy agency Marketing Clinic

REGULATORY

Knowit AB (publ) is acquiring the Finnish company Marketing Clinic, with a strong reputation in strategy, branding, and business development. Marketing Clinic has around 60 strategy consultants, primarily in Helsinki, but also has operations in Oslo and Stockholm. Through the acquisition, Knowit is strengthening its position in management consulting on the Finnish market and broadening its offer in growth and business development strategies. Following the acquisition, Knowit will have more than 450 employees in Finland.

Marketing Clinic will primarily become part of Knowit Insight, a business area in Knowit with services in management consulting. Knowit Insight helps companies and organizations develop and succeed by realizing the full potential of digitalization. Knowit Insight currently supports its Nordic clients in areas like growth and profitability strategies, development of new business models, change management, and cybersecurity. Another result of the merger with Marketing Clinic is that the business area Knowit Experience, with competence in branding, customer experience, and market strategy, will gain resources and competence.

“We are pleased to welcome our new colleagues from Marketing Clinic to us at Knowit. By combining Marketing Clinic’s strong market position and offer of strategies for business development and profitability with Knowit’s broad competence in digital transformation and change management, we are becoming an even stronger partner to both existing and new clients. On the Finnish market, our offer will become unique for strong brands with growth on the agenda, where we can now support the entire journey, from strategy to implementation of new business models,” says Carin Strindmark, Head of Knowit Insight.

Marketing Clinic has for many years helped several successful brands to seize upon new business opportunities and create more profitable customer relationships. Through this merger, Knowit will get a stronger platform in management consultancy, but also a strengthened customer offering in branding strategy and customer experiences on the Finnish market.

Marketing Clinic will begin a close collaboration with its new colleagues already during the summer and will gradually over the course of the year become an integrated part of the Knowit brand. CEO Kati Nurminen will continue to manage the operations in Finland.

“We want to continue to be a growth partner to our clients and support development of their operations, for more sustainable and customer-oriented business. In our experience, our clients are more frequently in need of cross-departmental teams and collaborations to benefit from the possibilities of digitalization. Marketing Clinic and Knowit complement each other well and together we can become an even stronger partner to our clients. I am convinced that the merger will be very positive for our employees and look forward to becoming part of Knowit, which is on an exciting growth journey,” says Kati Nurminen, CEO of Marketing Clinic.

“A merger between Marketing Clinic and Knowit will create great possibilities for both clients and employees. We have had a strong growth journey since we established the company 17 years ago, and in the dialogue with Knowit it has become clear that we share common values and the passion to help our clients build strong, sustainable brands and develop business strategies in a world that is changing quickly. Therefore, it feels like a natural step to become part of a larger context within Knowit,” says Catharina Stackelberg, founder and current Chairman of the Board of Marketing Clinic.

Knowit is acquiring the holding company Marketing Clinic Oy, which in turn owns 100 percent of the operating companies in Finland, Norway, and Sweden. The acquisition is expected to be finalized at the turn of the month June/July.
