Knowit wins prestigious Best-of-the-best Red Dot Award for new visual identity for Glamox

Knowit Experience is proud to announce that we have been awarded the Best-of-the-best Red Dot Award in the Brand & Communications category, for the new visual identity for Glamox.

The Red Dot Award is one of the world’s largest and most acknowledged design competitions – the closest you can get to a “design world championship” for products, brands and design concepts. Every year, over 20,000 entries from all over the world are being assessed by an independent professional jury.

“The well-known 'red dot' is a mark of design quality that is recognized globally. We have previously been awarded the Red Dot for our involvement in design of brand identities. Now, as the only or one of very few Norwegian agencies, we have received the prestigious “Best of the best” distinction for the second time. The “Best of the best” is reserved for only a fraction of awarded entries. The award makes us both proud and grateful for the opportunity to work with Glamox to leverage the visual strength of their brand and vision “Creating light for a better life”, says Marc Ligeti, Lead Designer at Knowit.

In 2019 – 2020 Glamox carried out a strategy process, which included crafting a new vision, mission and positioning. The goal was to establish a long-term position that was attractive for all stakeholder groups. With this came the need to update the logo and visual identity, a task that was assigned to Knowit Experience. “Working closely together, we developed a distinct identity that we are now communicating to stakeholders in all markets. The process showed the value of a close partnership and true collaboration in pursuit of excellence and quality, says Nina Hol, Group Marketing Director at Glamox.  

Two times “best of the best”

Knowit has been Glamox’ partner in developing the new visual identity. Knowit includes the Creuna brand and design team, following the acquisition of Creuna by Knowit in 2020. This is the second time Knowit Experience/Creuna has been awarded the Best-of-the best Red Dot Award (first time was for the visual identity of the City of Oslo). This reinforces Knowit’s position as a leading design agency in Norway.

The Red Dot Award will be presented to Glamox/Knowit Experience at the Red Dot Award ceremony in Berlin, on 28 October 2022.
