Knowit did well at Gulltaggen 2016, Norway’s largest event within digital marketing, where it won two awards: ”Best Product/Service – Enterprise” and ”Most disruptive of the year.”

Gulltaggen was founded in 1998, mainly to reward and stimulate digital creativity. Today, Gulltaggen is Norway’s largest event in digital marketing, communication, innovation, leadership and creativity. It works as an annual arena for competence sharing, knowledge exchange and networking.

- DNB came to us to get help in developing the user interface and experience of their new payment function Vipps, for iOS, Android and Windows Phone. The requirements were that the app should be fast and easy to understand. We did not foresee that the app would get 1.2 million users in less than a year, says Eivind Kjellevold from Knowit, who has acted as head designer for the group that developed the Vipps user experience.

Knowit’s role in the project was to ensure a good user experience, create prototypes and design the solution, in addition to acting as advisor. The group has collaborated closely with DNB from project start all the way to the launch.

- I feel we have succeeded in making a very helpful service that everyone can use. Along with user-friendliness, creating confidence in the service was our top priority. Vipps has solved a tangible problem in an innovative way. The result has turned out to be transforming for Norwegian banking on the whole, and we can now see that the service is expanding to new areas, such as consumer retail and charities, says Kjellevold.
