Strong profit while demand remains high
Published 16 Jul 2018During the second quarter, April-June 2018, Knowit increased its EBITA profit by 31.9 percent to SEK 72.4 million, while net sales increased by 19 percent to SEK 797.2 million. All three business fields showed positive development and demand remains high on all of Knowit’s markets.
”The fact that we continue to do well in all of our business fields to my mind is proof that we have succeeded in building a strong, long-term business model. The combination of strategy, technology and creativity from our three business fields makes us unique on the market,” says Per Wallentin, CEO and President.
Digitization has entered a new phase. Automation and innovation support based on the possibilities of digitization are becoming increasingly important for the competitiveness of clients.
”We see a continued strong demand from the public sector, in which we have many clients and where there are many interesting possibilities, both to improve services to citizens and to create efficiency gains. During a popular seminar at Almedalen, Knowit took part in discussing what is required for the public sector to keep its place at the front lines internationally. In this context, I believe that Knowit can really be a factor that makes a difference. Our vision of a sustainable and humane society through digitization and innovation feels more relevant than ever,” says Per Wallentin.
With the goal of creating an even more inclusive corporate culture at Knowit, a group-wide gender project has been conducted since 2016. As part of its external communication, Knowit was a main sponsor for the Drivhuset Day during the Almedalen Week, where the focus was on encouraging female entrepreneurism.
”We are performed several internal and external initiatives with a focus on increasing Knowit’s attractive power among young female consultants. For example, we have reviewed our recruitment processes and have for the past year had an ‘inverted’ mentorship program within the company,” says Per Wallentin, President of Knowit.
