Knowit has developed an app for easier parking in Linköping. With the app, the motorist can use a mobile phone to start and stop the parking, while also paying for parking. Easy and flexible, without having to visit a parking meter or keep track of a ticket.
The payment system was developed by Dukaten Parkering in Linköping and Swarco, a supplier of parking solutions, along with the consultancy firm Knowit. Together, the companies have adapted a traditional payment system into a more customer-friendly payment system.
The system means that the client does not have to purchase a ticket in a meter or keep track of the time. In car parks, boom barriers open automatically for entry and exit and an exact amount is withdrawn from the customer’s debit card. In outdoor parking lots, the app Parkering Linköping is used to check the vehicle in and out. No extra fees are applied. Everything is coordinated in the same flexible system.
The system was given SvePark’s annual award at the Nordic Parking Conference in Stockholm.
Knowit has, in addition to developing the apps, developed the integration platform Navet, acted as project manager and been charged with testing, verification and launching of the solution.
