Knowit starts Danish company in decision supportPublished 07 Jan 2015
Knowit is reinforcing its operations in decision support by starting Knowit Decision Denmark in Copenhagen as of January 1 2015. From day one, the company will be a partner to SAS Institute, the world’s leading software supplier in big data and business intelligence. Jim Nielsen, the appointed CEO of the company, has been a manager at SAS Institute in Denmark and most recently worked at the consultancy firm Wilke.
Knowit has set the goal of growing to 40-50 employees within the next five years and becoming one of the most competent companies in the fields of big data, business intelligence, analysis and support in transforming decisions into actions on the part of its clients.
– Big Data has become the new thing focused on in board rooms. Why? People are forced to make increasingly risky decisions. Decreasing the uncertainty of these decisions is a service very much in demand. Assumptions are replaced with facts on all levels in the organization. Intelligence is the new currency of modern leadership: processes and technologies that provide knowledge are the difference between successes and setbacks, says Jim Nielsen, CEO of Knowit Decision Denmark.
Knowit has for several years been a leading partner to SAS Institute in Norway and Sweden. This new venture supplements the existing operations. It is Knowit’s ambition to have a close collaboration between the three Nordic countries.
