Knowit establishes in Denmark

Published 21 Nov 2012

Knowit is pursuing its strategy of seeing the Nordic region as its home market by establishing a subsidiary in Denmark. The company will be located in Copenhagen and will be founded by two Danish entrepreneurs with extensive experience of founding and running IT consultancy firms in Denmark and Sweden. They will share leadership and the role of CEO. The company will start operations on January 1, 2013. It will offer strategic consultancy and IT consultancy services to boards, managements and IT departments.

– Knowit’s business concept is to conduct operations locally with a global perspective. Unlike other firms in the consultancy field, Knowit realizes that consultancy operations should be close to clients and employees. This is in line with our view of how to conduct consultancy operations efficiently, says Karsten Adelmark.

– Since IT projects are usually of strategic importance, such issues often end up on the management’s or board’s table. We see an opportunity of bridging the gap between technology issues and strategic issues through strategic consultancy and implementing measures to create success in critical project, says Peter Keller-Andreasen.

Karsten Adelmark has been working for Cybercom in Denmark as CEO. He has extensive experience of consultancy operations at TietoEnator, Netman and Ernst & Young. Peter Keller-Andreasen has most recently been working as COO of the Cybercom Corporation and CEO of Cybercom in Sweden, He also has extensive experience from the IT field in companies like Digital Equipment, TietoEnator and Netman.

– We have been looking at the possibility of positioning ourselves as a Nordic consultancy firm for a long time. Only now do we feel we have the right conditions, with two skilled entrepreneurs on board. Both Karsten and Peter have long experience of founding and running profitable consultancy firms with strong growth, says Per Wallentin, CEO and president of Knowit.
