Knowit became IT contract supplier to Hansel

Knowit Oy has been chosen as a central government supplier and signed contracts with Hansel, government’s central purchasing body, operating in the same role as Kammarkollegiet in Sweden, in three categories.

According to the framework agreement, Knowit Oy can offer  services for public organizations during the next four  years in the following categories:

  • Application/software services and maintenance
  • Solution development and maintenance
  • Testing services

Through the framework  agreement, public organizations can acquire products and  services without conducting their own public tendering. The value of procurements in  these three categories has exceeded 20 million euros per  year. Six to twelve suppliers have been chosen in each category.

- We applied to the categories in  which we can help Hansel's clients in the best way. We won the  competitive tendering and became Hansel's supplier in all three categories in which  we applied. This opens a great number of new  doors for us and is an excellent possibility to develop our business, says Ville Särmälä, CEO of Knowit Oy.

In addition to its own  consultants, Knowit Oy will exploit the knowledge and resources of  Knowit Group’s 1,800 experts and its wide subcontractor network. In the "Solution development and maintenance" category Knowit participated together with Datium Oy.

Hansel is the government's central purchasing body in Finland, operating in the same role as Kammarkollegiet in Sweden. It is a driving force and a developer of  public procurement. The aim is to reduce public expenditure by  increasing productivity in central government procurement.
