For the municipality of Botkyrka, it was a matter of course that their IT systems would support operations and be expedient and effective. We believe that these are vital prerequisites in facing the future.
The municipality of Botkyrka needed to ensure that its IT systems supported operations and were expedient and effective. To achieve this, a collaboration was initiated with Knowit, where we introduced a business development program (”Professional IT”).
The program serves to change the municipality’s IT processes and prepare them for future challenges.
The program encompassed all IT systems within the municipality and a new IT organization was established and staffed. The program was managed by Knowit together with the business field IT/e-development, covering a total of fifteen sub-projects, which jointly encompassed all of the IT processes.
Knowit Insight provided strategic support and management, as well as monitoring composition of program management. We also acted as project managers in the IT program, which covered all IT systems in the municipality. A new IT organization was created and staffed.
The municipality of Botkyrka now has updated IT systems, which offer a clearer user experience and are more supportive of operations than formerly. The IT systems provide a more structured work method and are supported by new IT management and improved processes and methodologies for support, change processes and pricing.
